Kendall Map Poster & Print
Kendall is an unincorporated community in southwest Miami-Dade County, and its map follows the numbered Miami grid. Long straight avenues run north to south and street numbers rise steadily to the west. Between the main roads are residential areas with curving drives, cul-de-sacs and small lakes, the usual shapes of postwar Florida suburbs.
Water appears in straight lines as well as curved ones. Canals such as Snapper Creek cross the area in engineered paths, part of the drainage system that made suburban south Florida possible. Near the eastern edge, the Don Shula Expressway, US 1 and the Metrorail meet near Dadeland, the local commercial centre. Kendall Drive, SW 88th Street, runs through the middle.
In 1992 Hurricane Andrew caused heavy damage here, and much of the area was rebuilt in the years after. A Kendall map poster shows the result: a very regular large-scale grid with more intricate, looping patterns inside each block. That contrast is especially clear in black and white.

Snapper Creek Canal
The canal cuts through the grid in a clear engineered line, one of the drainage channels that shape the land throughout south Florida.
Dadeland junction
Near the eastern edge, expressway ramps, US 1 and the Metrorail meet around Dadeland, and the calm grid becomes a knot of curves.

Kendallを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
Kendall appeals to people who grew up among its cul-de-sacs or raised a family there. The map is clean and graphic, with the grid as the frame and the looping subdivisions as detail, so it reads well even at 24×36″.
Put your family name, street or moving-in date in the title and subtitle, and set the coordinates to your house. Then pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
