Khaniādhāna is a town in Shivpuri district, in the northern part of Madhya Pradesh, on the rolling ground of the Bundelkhand region. Seen from above, it is a compact settlement where a handful of roads come together, their meeting point marking the densest part of town before the streets fall away into farmland.
The town was once the seat of a small princely state of the same name, and its older centre still reads as a tighter, more irregular cluster than the areas added later along the approach roads. Around it, the map shows a scattering of tanks, field boundaries and village tracks typical of this part of central India.
