Kholmskiy is a rural locality in the Abinsky district of Krasnodar Krai, in the south of Russia. It sits where the flat Kuban plain begins to rise toward the foothills of the north-western Caucasus. On the map, the settlement appears as a series of long parallel streets. Each one is lined with deep household plots, a layout typical of the region's large villages.
To the north, fields spread out in broad rectangles across the plain. To the south, the land becomes wooded and hilly, and roads start to follow the terrain instead of a ruler. Small rivers flow down from the hills and cut soft lines through the agricultural grid.
