Kithor is in Meerut district, Uttar Pradesh, on the fertile doab between the Ganges and Yamuna rivers. From above it appears as a compact, dense settlement surrounded by cultivated land. Main roads connect it to Meerut and the neighbouring towns, and field tracks spread across the countryside in every direction.
The town centre is made up of narrow, winding lanes with houses and shops built close together. The street pattern has grown gradually over time and was never planned as a whole. On the edges, the built area becomes looser and blends into farms and smaller hamlets. The contrast between the dark core and the open land is plain on the map.
