Larkana Map Poster & Print
Larkana stands on the flat, irrigated plain of upper Sindh, a short distance west of the Indus River. Its map shows a dense, irregular core of narrow streets and bazaars, surrounded by newer neighbourhoods with more regular blocks, all set within farmland laced with canals that carry water from the river.
The district is known for rice and guavas, and the town has long served as a market centre for the surrounding villages. It is also closely associated with the Bhutto family, whose mausoleum at nearby Garhi Khuda Bakhsh has become a place of national significance in Pakistan.
A Larkana map poster also places the town close to one of the oldest cities in the world: the ruins of Mohenjo-daro, a Bronze Age settlement of the Indus Valley Civilisation, lie a short drive to the south.
