Luotian Map Poster & Print
Luotian is a town in the municipality of Chongqing, in the hill country east of the city proper, not far from Wanzhou on the Yangtze. This is a landscape of ridges, valleys and farmland worked into the slopes, and towns here are shaped by the ground as much as by planning. On a map, the result is compact, irregular and closely fitted to the terrain.
From above, Luotian appears as a tight cluster of streets wherever the valley floor allows, with lanes following the contours instead of straight lines. Main roads enter and leave in long, winding curves, doubling back as they climb. Beyond the town, scattered houses and field tracks thread across the hills, giving the outer parts of the map a loose, hand-drawn quality.
