Madizini lies in the Mvomero district of Morogoro Region, in lowland country known for sugar cane farming linked to the Mtibwa estates. On a map the town is compact and practical. Shops and houses cluster along a central road, and short side streets reach out a little way before the pattern opens into farmland.
The surrounding fields show up as large, quiet areas broken only by field tracks and drainage lines, so the town reads as a dense cluster in open space.
