The Tocantins River
The broad river, with its islands and side channels, takes up a large part of the frame and gives the poster its strong horizontal feel.

Mocajuba Map Poster & Print
Mocajuba stands on the bank of the Tocantins River in the Brazilian state of Pará, downstream of the Tucuruí dam and well inland from the Amazon's estuary. The town is laid out along the waterfront: a band of streets parallel to the river, crossed by shorter ones running inland, with the forest and farmland beyond.
The Tocantins dominates the map. At this point the river is wide and broken up by islands and channels, so the water covers much of the print in broad, calm shapes. For much of the region, the river has long been the main road, and boats remain an important link between riverside communities.
A Mocajuba map poster turns that relationship into a clear image: a small grid of streets on one side, a vast braided river on the other. It is a quiet, striking composition for anyone who grew up here or has travelled along the Tocantins.

Riverfront grid
The town's streets run parallel to the bank and are crossed by lanes heading inland, a simple, orderly pattern against the loose shapes of the water.
River islands
Wooded islands split the river into separate channels. In monochrome they appear as pale, irregular forms floating in the darker water.

Mocajubaを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
This is a poster about a town and its river, and it works best for someone who knows both: a hometown in Pará or a memorable stop on a journey along the Tocantins. The large areas of water make it calm and graphic.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a name, a date or a short phrase. Choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint gives the river an especially crisp, cartographic look.
