Vembanad shoreline
The broad lake fills one side of the map, and its long shoreline forms a strong, calm edge against the fine linework of canals and lanes.

Muhamma Map Poster & Print
Muhamma lies in Alappuzha district, on the eastern shore of Vembanad Lake, Kerala's largest lake. On the map, the water is the main element: the wide lake fills one side of the frame, and the land is cut into narrow strips by canals, backwater channels and paddy fields. Houses line the waterways and the few roads, forming thin rows rather than a solid town.
A well-known ferry route crosses the lake from Muhamma to Kumarakom on the opposite shore, and the jetty is one of the fixed points of local life. The land is almost at water level, so the pattern of channels and embankments reads almost like a drawing of lines on water, with the settlements following the high ground along them.
A Muhamma map poster shows a landscape defined by water, where roads matter less than canals and the lake shore is the main edge. It works especially well in the Blueprint or Noir styles, where the channels appear as fine bright lines, and it suits anyone connected to the backwater country of Kuttanad and Alappuzha.

Canal network
Narrow channels run through the land in all directions, separating paddy fields and house plots, and they give the map its distinctive fine texture.
Ferry landing
The jetty for the ferry to Kumarakom lies on the lake shore, a small point where the land network meets the open water.
