Okromodou is in the Bas-Sassandra district of southwestern Côte d'Ivoire, a region of rolling land, rivers and tree crops. Much of the country's cocoa comes from this part of Côte d'Ivoire, and the countryside around towns like Okromodou is a mix of plantations, secondary forest and villages linked by roads and tracks.
