The Agger valley
The Agger runs through the municipality in broad meanders. Roads and rail follow its course, so the river acts as the spine of the whole composition.

Overath Map Poster & Print
Overath lies east of Cologne in the Bergisches Land, a hilly, wooded region of North Rhine-Westphalia. The river Agger winds through the municipality, and the town centre and several of its villages grew up along the valley floor. On a map, the settlement is not one compact block but a chain of smaller centres linked by roads that follow the terrain.
That pattern gives the print plenty of movement. Streets bend with the valley, side roads climb into the hills and stop at the edge of the woods, and the river traces a soft curve through the middle. The Bergisches Land has always been a rural hinterland of the Rhineland cities, and many residents now commute toward Cologne.
An Overath map poster captures that mix of valley town and forest, where built-up areas give way to fields and trees within a few hundred metres. It works equally well as a view of home or as a reminder of walks and bike rides along the Agger.

Scattered village centres
Instead of a single dense core, Overath is made up of several settlements spread across the hills, each with its own small knot of streets.
Forest edges
Large wooded areas surround the built-up land. On a monochrome map they appear as broad quiet spaces that set off the finer street patterns.

Overathを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
People hang Overath on the wall because it is home, or because the Bergisches Land is where they go to get out of the city. The winding valley roads make it a more organic, less geometric map than most urban posters.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with your village name or the year you moved in. The five styles are Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Paper brings out the rural, hand-drawn feel.
