Pallikunnu is a suburb on the northern side of Kannur, on the Malabar coast of northern Kerala. From above, it shows a pattern typical of coastal Kerala: a main road carrying traffic in and out of the city, with a web of narrow lanes branching off it toward houses set among trees and gardens. The Arabian Sea lies a short distance to the west.
The neighbourhood is closely tied to Kannur, a historic port and the administrative centre of the district, and schools, institutions and homes spread along its roads.
