Paterna Map Poster & Print
Paterna sits on the north side of the Turia river, northwest of Valencia and connected to it by metro lines and ring roads. The older town is compact, with narrow streets around a medieval tower. Beyond it, the map opens out into residential estates, industrial areas and technology parks laid out in large, regular grids.
Paterna has a long history as a pottery town, and its medieval ceramics, decorated in green and purple and later with lustre, are well known among collectors and museums. The town also has cave houses cut into the soft ground near the tower. Every August it holds the Cordà, a festival with an intense display of fireworks in a narrow street.
A Paterna map poster brings these different layers into one frame: the river valley to the south, the curving historic core, and the modern business districts spreading toward the motorways. It presents the town as its own place, not just a suburb of Valencia.
