Prudentópolis has a clear, orderly centre, a grid of blocks laid out on gently rolling ground in the interior of Paraná. Outside that core the density drops quickly. Rural roads spread across the countryside, following ridgelines and crossing streams. Much of the municipality is farmland and forest, so the town appears on a map as a small, dense cluster in open land.
The town is known for two things. Many of its residents descend from Ukrainian immigrants who settled here from the late nineteenth century, and Eastern-rite churches remain part of local life. The municipality is also known for its waterfalls, some of them very tall, which have made it a destination for people who enjoy walking and nature.

The land around the town is cut by rivers and streams that drop over escarpments. The waterfalls themselves are not drawn, but the watercourses that feed them appear as fine lines.
Colonial roads
Rural roads branch out from town toward the old settlement areas and farms, often following the ridges. They give the outer edges of the map a loose, branching texture.
