Rāver lies in Jalgaon district in northern Maharashtra, between the Tapi river to the south and the Satpura range, which rises to the north along the Madhya Pradesh border. The town has a dense core of market streets. Newer blocks and farm roads spread out from it across the flat, fertile valley.
This is banana country. Jalgaon district is one of India's largest banana-growing areas, and Rāver taluka is among its best-known centres. From above, the land around town is divided into a close patchwork of plantations and irrigated fields, crossed by field tracks and small canals.
The main railway line through the Tapi valley passes near the town and adds a long, straight stroke to the map. A Rāver map poster brings those elements together: the compact town, the ordered geometry of the farmland and the edge of the hills on the northern horizon.

Toward the Satpuras
North of Rāver the plain begins to rise toward the Satpura range. With a wider framing, the poster can show the transition from flat farmland to hills.
