Ridge slope
The town lies on the side of Missionary Ridge, so the terrain shapes its streets, which bend and climb instead of following a regular grid.

Ridgeside Map Poster & Print
Ridgeside is a small city in Hamilton County, Tennessee, and it is entirely enclosed by Chattanooga. It sits on the flank of Missionary Ridge, the long ridge that runs along the eastern side of the city. As a result, its boundaries take in hillside streets rather than a flat grid, which gives the map a softer, more organic character.
From above, the town is a quiet residential pocket. Its streets follow the contours of the ridge, curving gently instead of running straight, and houses sit on generous, wooded lots. The contrast between these winding roads and the more regular Chattanooga neighbourhoods below often makes the change of pattern visible on a map.
Missionary Ridge is also a historic landscape. In November 1863 it was the site of a Civil War battle during the Chattanooga campaign, and monuments along the crest recall it. A Ridgeside map poster places this small town within that wider setting of ridge, valley and city streets, at a scale where individual roads are easy to read.

Enclosed boundary
Chattanooga surrounds Ridgeside on all sides, so the poster shows a small independent town held entirely within a larger city's streets.
Wooded lots
Homes stand on large, tree-covered parcels, which leaves plenty of open space between the roads and gives the map a light, airy texture.

Ridgesideを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
People know Ridgeside as home rather than as a destination, and that is exactly why a map of it means something. It records the street you lived on and the ridge above Chattanooga in a way a photograph cannot.
Put a family name, a house number or a moving-in date in the title and subtitle, and pick from five styles, from Noir to Sand. The digital download costs $9, or you can order a matte print, with an optional wooden frame, shipped by one of our print partners.
