Rochester Hills Map Poster & Print
Rochester Hills sits in Oakland County, north of Detroit, and its map is built on the square mile-road grid that covers much of southeast Michigan. Between those straight arterials, residential streets loop and curl into cul-de-sacs, so each square mile has its own internal pattern. The Clinton River cuts diagonally across the grid, and parks and wooded ravines leave open patches along its course.
The city shares its eastern side with the older village of Rochester, and Oakland University occupies a large campus on its southern edge, including the historic Meadow Brook Hall estate. The Paint Creek and Clinton River trails follow former rail lines and stream valleys, adding long, gentle curves that run against the grid.
