Sagurē is a town in the Arsi Zone of the Oromia Region in central Ethiopia, set in highland country at considerable altitude. The Arsi highlands are among Ethiopia's most productive farming areas, known especially for wheat and barley, and the region is also famous as the home of many of the country's celebrated distance runners.
