Santa Quitéria Map Poster & Print
Santa Quitéria is a municipality in the interior of Ceará, in the semi-arid sertão of northeastern Brazil. The municipality covers a large area, and the town at its centre is compact. On a map, the contrast is striking: a tight cluster of streets in the middle of wide open country.
The centre follows a straightforward grid around its church square, typical of towns in the Brazilian interior. Beyond it, a few roads head out across the backland toward other towns, and seasonal watercourses and small reservoirs mark the land, important features in a region where water is scarce for much of the year.
A Santa Quitéria map poster uses that open space well. The grid is small and precise, the roads stretch away in long lines, and the dry country around it leaves a lot of calm negative space. It makes a spare, graphic print.

Backland roads
Roads leave town in long lines across the sertão, connecting Santa Quitéria to neighbouring municipalities through sparsely settled land.
Seasonal water
Intermittent streams and small reservoirs appear across the dry landscape, thin lines and small shapes that show where water gathers.

Santa Quitériaを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
Many people from Ceará's interior live far from home, and a map of Santa Quitéria is a simple way to keep the town's shape in sight. Its spare composition also suits minimalist interiors.
Add a title, a subtitle with a family name or date, and a coordinates line. Choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, which works especially well for the dry backland.
