Serra Dourada Map Poster & Print
Serra Dourada is a municipality in the west of Bahia, in the interior of northeastern Brazil. The town is small, a cluster of streets forming a compact centre in a wide landscape of cerrado and farmland. Its name, meaning golden mountain range, refers to the hilly terrain of the area.
The map is shaped by distances. Beyond the town's edge, long roads cut across open country towards neighbouring towns and farms, with few other built features between them. The streets of the town itself are laid out in a simple, mostly regular pattern.
A Serra Dourada map poster presents the town as a small, clear shape in a large space. The contrast between its compact streets and the long rural roads makes for a calm, balanced composition. It suits people with roots in the town, and anyone who knows the wide interior of western Bahia.

Long rural roads
Straight roads lead out across the countryside to farms and neighbouring towns, adding long lines that give the composition its structure.
Open cerrado land
Wide, lightly settled land surrounds the town, leaving generous space around the streets and giving the poster a quiet feel.
