Sfizef lies in the province of Sidi Bel Abbès, in the agricultural interior of north-western Algeria. From above, the town's centre is easy to read and orderly. Its streets run in largely straight lines and form rectangular blocks, a pattern common to many towns in the region. Newer housing extends from this core along the main roads and loosens the geometry at the edges.
Around the town, farmland dominates the map. Large fields are divided by straight boundaries and farm tracks, with the occasional line of trees cutting across them. Roads lead out toward Sidi Bel Abbès and neighbouring towns, giving the composition a few strong directional lines.
