Shāhedshahr lies in Tehran Province, on the broad plain west of the capital in the Shahriar area. From above, much of the town has a clear, regular layout: straight streets meeting at right angles, blocks of similar size and main roads defining its edges. This orderly structure sets it apart from the older, more organic villages in the region.
Farmland and orchards surround the built-up area. Their field boundaries and irrigation lines form a patchwork across the plain, and roads link the town to nearby settlements and to the wider Tehran metropolitan area. The Alborz mountains rise to the north, beyond the edge of the map, giving the landscape its general slope.
