Tāndoni lies on the edge of Karur in western Tamil Nadu, and on a map it reads as part of that town's wider urban spread. Roads run out from Karur through the settlement. Residential streets branch off them in short, fairly regular runs, and open plots and farmland fill the space between the built-up clusters.
