Tchéboa lies in the North Region of Cameroon, in the wide, flat savanna country of the Benue basin, not far from the regional centre of Garoua. On a map, the town appears as a loosely organised settlement with a denser core and roads radiating outward across open land. Compounds and small plots give the built-up area a textured, irregular look.
This part of Cameroon has a long dry season and a shorter rainy one, and much of the land around the town is used for farming and grazing. Seasonal streams cross the terrain, and the road network connects scattered villages with larger market towns in the region.
