Todabhim is a town in Karauli district in eastern Rajasthan, in the flat farming country between Jaipur and the Chambal region. The landscape around it is open and cultivated. On the map the town is a tight, dense knot of lanes, with roads running outward to villages and neighbouring towns.
The older core has the close-grained pattern common to Rajasthani market towns: narrow streets, irregular blocks and houses built wall to wall. Newer growth spreads along the main roads, where the streets become more regular and the plots larger. Fields, their boundaries and scattered trees fill the space around the town.
