Ridge-top roads
Streets follow the crests and contours of the hills, forming loops and hairpin bends that give the print a flowing, organic structure.

Ukhrul Map Poster & Print
Ukhrul is the main town of Ukhrul district in Manipur, high in the hills of northeast India near the border with Myanmar. It is the principal town of the Tangkhul Naga people. The town sits along ridges and upper slopes, so its roads are rarely straight: they follow contours, loop around spurs and double back on themselves as they climb.
This gives the map real drama. Houses and lanes are strung along the ridgelines, with steep drops and forested valleys between them. Nearby rises Shirui Kashung, the peak known for the Shirui lily, a rare flower that grows naturally in these hills and is celebrated each year with a festival.
An Ukhrul map poster shows how a town adapts to difficult terrain: a winding, branching network where the landscape decides the shape of every street. It is a meaningful piece for Tangkhul families and for anyone who has travelled into these hills.

Forested valleys
Deep wooded valleys separate the built-up ridges. On a monochrome map they appear as broad empty areas between the lines of settlement.
Shirui hills
Shirui Kashung, home of the rare Shirui lily, lies close to the town and is one of the best-known landmarks of the district.

Ukhrulを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
Mountain towns make some of the most expressive map posters, because the roads trace the land itself. For people from Ukhrul living elsewhere, it is a daily reminder of the hills and the view.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a village name or a date. Choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir works especially well for a mountain composition.
