Ukunda Map Poster & Print
Ukunda is in Kwale County, on the Kenyan coast south of Mombasa. The town grew around the main coastal highway, and its centre gathers at the junction with the road down to the sea. East of that junction, a long beach road runs parallel to the Indian Ocean. Hotels and houses sit in the belt between the road and the shoreline.
On the map the coast is a smooth line facing east, with the fringing reef offshore suggested by the calm lagoon in front of it. Inland, the street network loosens into scattered plots and tracks among farmland and remnants of coastal forest. There is a small airstrip on the edge of town that serves visitors to the beach.
Ukunda is best known as the gateway to Diani Beach, one of the most visited stretches of sand on the East African coast. A Ukunda map poster frames the town and the shore together: the highway settlement, the road to the beach and the long, quiet edge of the ocean.

Indian Ocean coastline
The coast forms a gentle, east-facing curve. The water beyond leaves a wide open field that balances the composition.
Highway junction
The town centre sits where the coastal highway meets the road to the beach, a crossing that organises most of the surrounding streets.
