Woluwe-Saint-Lambert lies on the eastern side of the Brussels Region, in the valley of the small Woluwe river. On the map, residential avenues and garden-lined streets cover most of the commune. Between them are parks, ponds and green corridors that follow the course of the valley toward the north.
The eastern part holds the Brussels campus of UCLouvain, with the Saint-Luc university hospital and faculties spread across a planned site. Nearby, the Woluwe Shopping centre sits beside major roads. Toward the centre of Brussels the streets become denser and more urban, forming part of the continuous city.
