Al ‘Awwāmīyah lies in Qatif Governorate in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, a short distance north of the town of Qatif and close to the shore of the Arabian Gulf. The area belongs to the Qatif oasis, one of the oldest settled farming regions on the Gulf coast.
