Medieval centre
A compact web of lanes and small squares clusters around the Romanesque cathedral. It is the densest part of the map, and almost no street runs straight for long.

Bitonto lies a short distance inland from Bari, on the gently sloping limestone plain of Apulia. From above, the old town is a knot of narrow, winding lanes packed around its cathedral. Wider streets trace the line where walls once stood. Beyond that ring, later districts spread out in straighter blocks, and farther still the land breaks into countless small parcels of olive groves.
The town is known for its cathedral, one of the finest examples of Apulian Romanesque architecture, built in pale stone in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. Olive oil has long been central to local life, and the groves around Bitonto are among the most extensive in the region. In 1734 the Battle of Bitonto, fought nearby, secured the Kingdom of Naples for the Spanish Bourbons.
A Bitonto map poster captures that contrast between the tight, irregular historic centre and the calmer order of the modern town. The olive-field landscape adds a fine, patchwork texture at the edges. It is a map for those who know the smell of the Apulian countryside and the sound of stone streets in the evening.
A compact web of lanes and small squares clusters around the Romanesque cathedral. It is the densest part of the map, and almost no street runs straight for long.
Broader streets curve around the old core where its walls once stood, drawing a clear boundary between the historic quarter and the modern districts.
Beyond the built-up area, field boundaries and rural roads break the plain into a fine mosaic. Its texture gives the poster a soft, detailed frame.
