Daning River
The river is the main form on the sheet. It is a wide band of water that curves through the valley and gives the town its orientation and its edge.

Dachang Map Poster & Print
Dachang sits in Wushan County in the far east of Chongqing, where the Daning River winds through limestone mountains before joining the Yangtze. From above, the town is shaped by the terrain more than by any plan. Built-up blocks hold to the flatter ground along the water, and roads climb and switch back into the surrounding hills like contour lines.
The reservoir that rose behind the Three Gorges Dam changed this stretch of valley. The old walled town of Dachang was taken down and rebuilt on higher ground. On a map, two layers of history fit into one small frame: a broad, calm body of water and a compact settlement arranged around it.
A Dachang map poster reduces all of this to line and shape. Without the green of the slopes, three things remain: the path of the river, the tight knot of streets on its bank and the thin roads that lead out towards the gorges. They are printed in clean black on white.

Street pattern on slopes
On flat ground the streets form short, dense blocks. Elsewhere they bend to follow the slope, and the irregular loops show the terrain without any shading.
Roads into the gorges
A few thin routes leave the town along the valley floor, tracing the way towards the Little Three Gorges and the wider county beyond.

Tabula quae aliquid significat
For anyone with family in eastern Chongqing, or anyone who has travelled the Daning by boat, this map keeps a changed landscape in view. It suits a study or hallway, where the curve of the river reads as a quiet graphic rather than a tourist image.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, so the poster can carry a family name or the year of a visit. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
