Valley-following streets
The main streets run along valleys and lower slopes, giving the town an irregular, stretched outline shaped more by topography than by planning.

Dasheng Map Poster & Print
Dasheng is a town within the municipality of Chongqing, in the hilly eastern part of the Sichuan Basin. Its map reflects the terrain. Few streets run straight for long, and the built-up area stretches along the valleys and gentler slopes where building is easiest. The result is an irregular, elongated shape rather than a neat block, with roads bending to follow the lie of the land.
The countryside around the town is a patchwork of low ridges, small reservoirs and cultivated terraces, typical of rural Chongqing. On a black-and-white print, the winding roads and field edges create a dense, almost contour-like texture, and the scattered ponds appear as small solid shapes. The pattern is organic and quiet, very different from the high-rise density of central Chongqing.
A Dasheng map poster suits someone with family ties to the area or memories of living among these hills. It turns an ordinary rural town into a careful study of how roads and houses adapt to steep ground. That kind of detail is easy to miss on the ground but clear from above.

Terraced hillsides
Farmland on the surrounding slopes is divided into terraces and small plots, producing fine, curving lines that resemble a contour drawing on the print.
Small reservoirs
Ponds and reservoirs scattered through the hills show up as compact solid shapes, punctuating the rural road network around the town.
