The river mouth
The river's final bends near Gwa give the map its most expressive line. It widens as it meets the sea and separates the town from the land on the other side.

Gwa Map Poster & Print
Gwa is on the southern coast of Rakhine State in Myanmar, where the land meets the Bay of Bengal. The map is shaped by water. A river winds out to the sea close to the town, and the coastline runs north and south in a long, gently curving line of beach and inlets.
The town itself is small. It is a modest cluster of streets near the river, with roads leading inland across low, green country towards the hills of the Rakhine Yoma. Fishing and farming have long shaped daily life here, and the layout reflects that. Houses stay close to the water and the tracks that lead down to it.
A Gwa map poster is mostly about the edges: the shoreline, the river channel and the point where the town stops and the coast takes over. It is a spare, open composition with a lot of white space, drawn with care for a place that rarely gets mapped in detail.

Bay of Bengal coast
A long, unbroken shoreline runs down the western side of the sheet. On the page, its smooth curve contrasts with the short, irregular streets inland.
A small street cluster
The town's streets form a compact knot near the water. Seen at this scale, you can make out individual lanes rather than an abstract block of city.

Tabula quae aliquid significat
For people from Gwa who now live elsewhere, a detailed map of the town and its coast can feel close to a photograph of home. It is a quiet piece that works in a bedroom or a study.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be changed, so the poster can show the town's name in your own spelling, a family name or a date. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
