Contour streets
Many streets follow the shape of the hills instead of straight lines, so the town forms a curving, irregular network on the map.

Hucheng Map Poster & Print
Hucheng lies in hilly country in the Sichuan Basin, administratively part of Chongqing. From above, it looks nothing like a flat grid city. Streets follow contours, curve around hills and drop into valleys, while terraced fields and scattered villages cover the slopes around the town.
The area's landscape is typical of the eastern Sichuan Basin, with rounded hills, narrow valleys, small rivers and intensive farming on every usable piece of land. Towns like Hucheng serve as market and service centres for the surrounding countryside, linked by roads that wind through the terrain.
A Hucheng map poster turns this rolling terrain into a pattern of curves. Unlike a grid, the roads bend and branch in response to the land, which gives the print an organic, hand-drawn quality. Black and white suits the image and lets the shape of the hills show through the street network.

Valley floors
Lower ground between hills holds roads, streams and denser buildings. It appears as narrow bands winding through the landscape.
Terraced slopes
Around the town, farmland climbs the hillsides in terraces and small plots. It adds a fine, layered texture to the edges of the poster.

Tabula quae aliquid significat
People who grew up in Hucheng or the surrounding counties often move to Chongqing, Chengdu or beyond. A map of the home town keeps that tie visible. The curving streets also make it an attractive abstract print.
Set the title, subtitle and coordinates line yourself, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital download includes six print sizes, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF, for $9.
