Jumilla Map Poster & Print

Jumilla sits in the northern uplands of the Region of Murcia, a dry, open landscape of plains and bare ridges. The town climbs the lower slope of a hill topped by a castle, and on the map this shows clearly. Tight, irregular streets in the old quarter bunch up against the hill, while straighter, newer blocks spread out on the level ground below.

The area is known above all for wine. Jumilla gives its name to a protected designation of origin built largely on the Monastrell grape, and the land around the town is a patchwork of vineyards and farm tracks. A Jumilla map poster frames the town inside that agricultural geometry.

The difference between the hillside and the plain gives the drawing its structure: a knot of old streets at the top, an orderly spread below, and field lines reaching out to the mountains that close the horizon.

01

Castle hill

The fortress crowns the hill above town, and the oldest streets crowd its lower slopes in a dense, winding pattern.

02

Newer grid

Beyond the old quarter the town opens into straighter streets and larger blocks spread across the flat land at the foot of the hill.

03

Vineyard patchwork

Vineyards and farm tracks cover the surrounding plain with a fine web of parcels, the working landscape behind the town's wine.

Cur Jumilla

Tabula quae aliquid significat

The poster is a natural fit for wine lovers, for Jumilla families and for anyone who has visited a bodega there. It works well in a kitchen or dining room, a map of the place a favourite bottle comes from.

You can add a vintage year or personal note to the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose from five styles. Sand and Paper suit the dry upland especially well. The HD download is $9.
