Foot of the Shevaroys
The hill range stands just north of the town, and the street network stops against its lower slopes. That gives the map a clear top edge, with sparse, empty space above the settlement.

Kannānkurichchi Map Poster & Print
Kannānkurichchi lies on the northern side of Salem in Tamil Nadu, where the city's streets start to loosen before the ground rises into the Shevaroy Hills. On a map the town appears as a mesh of residential lanes and main roads that tie it to the larger city to the south. Open land and water tanks sit in between.
The hills are what give the place its shape. To the north the contour of the Shevaroys stops the street pattern abruptly. The road up to the hill station of Yercaud starts its climb nearby, so on a detailed map the gentle grid of the plain turns into a road that folds back on itself as it gains height.
A Kannānkurichchi map poster shows this meeting of plain and hillside in a single frame. Built-up lanes fill the lower half, and the emptier slopes above hold only a few thin lines. It is a composition made mostly of contrast: busy streets below, open space above, with a clear edge where one becomes the other.

Road towards Yercaud
The route to the hill station begins its ascent near here. In print, its winding bends make a striking contrast with the straighter streets of the Salem plain.
Suburban lanes
Residential lanes branch off a few main roads in a loose, organic pattern. The effect is typical of towns that have slowly merged into a growing neighbouring city.
