Chengi river valley
The Chengi river winds through the area, and the town follows its valley, so the river gives the poster its main curving line and the built-up area its long, narrow shape.

Khagrachhari Map Poster & Print
Khagrachhari is the main town of the northernmost district of the Chittagong Hill Tracts in south-eastern Bangladesh. Unlike the flat delta that covers most of the country, the land here folds into hills and valleys, and the town has settled on the lower ground along the Chengi river. From above, its streets look narrow and elongated, pulled into the shape of the valley rather than laid out on open ground.
Roads are the clearest evidence of the terrain. They bend repeatedly as they climb out of the valley toward neighbouring towns, tracing contours that no planner on a flat plain would draw. A Khagrachhari map poster shows those loops against the quieter lines of the river and the scattered settlement on the slopes, a composition that feels closer to a mountain town than to the dense lowland cities.
The district is home to several indigenous communities, including Chakma, Marma and Tripura people, alongside Bengali residents, and the town serves as an administrative and market centre for the surrounding hills. On the map that role appears as a modest concentration of streets in the valley floor, with smaller clusters and paths reaching out along ridges and streams into the green country beyond.

Winding hill roads
Roads leaving town twist and double back as they climb into the surrounding hills, adding looping, organic lines that are rare on maps of Bangladesh.
Valley-floor centre
The densest streets gather on the lower, flatter ground near the river, a compact core that thins quickly into scattered settlement on the slopes around it.
