Komono Map Poster & Print

Komono is a town in Mie Prefecture, just west of the city of Yokkaichi. Its territory runs from the ridge of the Suzuka Mountains down to the plain that opens toward Ise Bay, and the map reflects that gradient: steep, forested slopes in the west, then valleys, then villages and rice fields spreading east around the town centre.

The town is best known for Yunoyama Onsen, a hot spring resort on the mountain slopes, and for the Gozaisho Ropeway, which climbs toward the summit of Mount Gozaisho in the Suzuka range. Streams descending from the mountains cut small valleys through the lower land, and the Kintetsu Yunoyama Line connects the resort with Yokkaichi.

A Komono map poster shows the full transition from mountains to plain in a single frame. The rail line and main road lead up toward the onsen, while below them the pattern of fields and settlements tightens around the town. It suits hikers, visitors to the hot springs and families from the Yokkaichi area alike.

01

Suzuka slopes

The mountains occupy the western part of the town, where roads thin out and switch back upward, leaving large blank areas of forest on the poster.

02

Yunoyama Onsen

The hot spring resort clusters on the mountainside, its winding lanes forming a small, dense pocket of streets high above the plain.

03

Rice field plain

Lower down, fields and villages spread toward Ise Bay in a regular pattern of small plots and straight farm roads around the town centre.

Cur Komono

Tabula quae aliquid significat

Komono is a place of weekend journeys: the ropeway ride, an evening at the onsen, a hike along the Suzuka ridge. A map of the town keeps that route from plain to peak in one calm, uncluttered image.

Set the title, subtitle and coordinates line as you like, and pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9 or order a matte poster, framed if you wish.
