Valley-floor layout
The town follows the valley, so its streets line up with the watercourse and the lower slopes instead of forming blocks.

Lagawe Map Poster & Print
Lagawe is the capital of Ifugao province in the Cordillera region of northern Luzon. It sits in mountain country, and from above its streets follow the valley floor and the lower slopes rather than any grid. Roads bend around ridges and settle into the gentlest ground available, giving the town a linear, stretched shape shaped by the terrain.
Ifugao is known worldwide for its rice terraces, several of which are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The terraces lie in the wider province rather than in the town itself, but the same mountainous landscape surrounds Lagawe. On the map, the narrow built area is set against a large expanse of steep, open land.
A Lagawe map poster reduces this landscape to its essential lines: the winding roads, the river, the modest cluster of streets at the provincial centre. It is an understated image, closer to a sketch of a valley than to a city plan, and it rewards a close look.

Mountain road bends
Roads leading in and out of town switch back and curve sharply around the ridges, drawing expressive lines on the map.
Provincial centre
As the capital of Ifugao, Lagawe holds the provincial government offices, concentrated in a small cluster of streets in the middle of the town.
