Säveån valley
The river winds through the town along the valley floor. Its gentle curves run parallel to the railway and main road, giving the map a clear east–west direction.

Lerum lies about twenty kilometres east of Gothenburg in Västra Götaland, along the valley of the Säveån river. The town stretches along the river and the Western Main Line railway, which gives it direct commuter connections to the city. From above, the built area follows the valley floor, while forested hills and granite ridges rise on either side.
Lakes are a defining feature of the map. Aspen lies just to the east of the town, and the larger Mjörn is a short distance to the northeast. Between them, the Säveån winds through meadows and residential areas. Neighbourhoods on the slopes have curving streets that follow the terrain, typical of Swedish suburban planning in hilly country.
A Lerum map poster captures a very Swedish composition: water, forest and houses in close balance. The river and railway provide strong lines through the centre, the lakes add large, calm shapes, and the hillside streets give texture. It works especially well in Paper or Classic black and white.

Lakes Aspen and Mjörn
Two lakes lie close to the town, forming broad, open shapes that balance the dense residential areas and show how much water surrounds Lerum.
Hillside neighbourhoods
Residential streets on the valley slopes curve with the terrain. They create looping patterns between patches of forest and exposed rock.
