Hill-following roads
Instead of a strict grid, many streets trace the contours of the low hills, so the plan fills with gentle arcs and bends that give the poster a soft, organic rhythm.

Longgang Map Poster & Print
Longgang is the urban heart of Dazu District, in the western reaches of Chongqing Municipality. From above, the town reads as a compact core of dense blocks that loosens into newer avenues as it spreads across low, rounded hills. The land around it is typical of the eastern Sichuan Basin: rolling, farmed and cut by small watercourses that the road network follows rather than fights.
The name Dazu is known far beyond the region because of the Dazu Rock Carvings, a collection of Buddhist, Taoist and Confucian cliff sculptures inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Some of the carving sites lie close to town and others out in the countryside, while the town itself is a practical, working place of markets, housing estates and arterial roads.
A Longgang map poster captures that contrast between tight urban fabric and open, contoured land. In black and white the curving roads become fine lines looping around the hills, and the edges of the town fray into lanes and field tracks. It is an honest portrait of a mid-sized Chinese town rather than a postcard view.

Old core, new edges
The older centre is a dense knot of short blocks, while newer districts spread outward in wider avenues and larger superblocks, a pattern shared by many growing Chongqing towns.
Carving country
The Dazu Rock Carvings are scattered around the town, some within a short distance of the centre, making Longgang the everyday base for one of China's best-known sculpture sites.

Tabula quae aliquid significat
For people who grew up in Dazu or have family there, the map is a quiet reminder of home that avoids the obvious tourist imagery. Visitors who came for the carvings may like a record of the town where they stayed, drawn in clean lines.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example to add a family name or a year, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files are $9, or you can order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
