Hills above town
The land rises steeply on one side of the settlement. The street pattern stops at the slopes, leaving a clear natural edge on the poster.

Mpwapwa Map Poster & Print
Mpwapwa is a town in Dodoma Region, in the centre of Tanzania. It lies where hills rise above the surrounding plain, and the higher ground holds more water and greenery than the dry country around it. That setting made it a long-standing stopping point on routes through the interior.
The town has an old administrative and mission history, and it is known in Tanzania as a centre of livestock research. On a map, its streets cluster below the hills, with main roads leading out across the plain and smaller lanes climbing towards the slopes. Beyond the town, farmland and scattered homesteads take over.
A Mpwapwa map poster shows the relationship between a settlement and its landscape. The hills close off one side of the composition, the roads give it clear directions, and the plain opens up in wide, quiet space. It is a restrained, honest map for anyone who knows the town.

Roads across the plain
Main roads leave town in long lines towards surrounding districts. They give the map its main directions and link the town to the region.
Compact centre
The town's streets are grouped closely at the foot of the hills. They form a small, dense core within a large open landscape.
