Poção de Pedras Map Poster & Print
Poção de Pedras lies in the interior of Maranhão, in the Médio Mearim region, far from the state's coast. Seen from above, the town is a small, fairly regular block of streets with a handful of longer roads running out into the countryside. The pattern is typical of the region's market towns: a central core, a few squares, and houses thinning out quickly at the edges.
Beyond the built-up area the map becomes quiet. Rural roads and tracks wander across open land, linking farms and smaller settlements, and the lines of streams and low ground show up as gentle curves rather than hard boundaries. This part of Maranhão is associated with babassu palms, whose groves cover much of the landscape between towns.
The name, roughly 'pool of stones', hints at water and rock, though the town itself is modest and unhurried. A Poção de Pedras map poster suits that scale well: a clear centre, a few roads leading away, and plenty of white space around them, so the shape of the town stands out cleanly on the wall.

Roads into the countryside
A few longer roads leave the centre in different directions, linking Poção de Pedras with neighbouring towns and farms across the Mearim lowlands.
Open rural surroundings
Around the town the map is sparse, with scattered tracks and watercourses, so the built-up area reads as a clear island in open land.
