Riverbank barranca
The town's edge follows the high bank above the Paraná. On the map it is a sharp line where the street grid stops and the floodplain begins.

Ramallo is in the north of Buenos Aires Province, on the right bank of the Paraná River between San Nicolás de los Arroyos and San Pedro. On the map it is a classic Argentine town plan: square blocks in a regular grid, a central plaza, and straight streets running inland from the river toward flat Pampas farmland.
The river edge is what makes the drawing interesting. The town stands on the barranca, the raised bank that lines this stretch of the river. Below it the Paraná breaks into a wide mosaic of islands, side channels and wetland. In black and white, the orderly grid and the loose, braided water share one frame.
A Ramallo map poster shows a river town in its clearest form: the geometry people built next to the geography that was already there. Anyone who grew up fishing off the bank, crossing to the islands or driving the route between Rosario and Buenos Aires will recognise the pattern at once.

Paraná islands
Across the water, a maze of islands and secondary channels fills the frame. Their loose, irregular shapes contrast with the town's straight blocks.
Pampas grid
Inland the plan stays strictly rectangular, block after block around a central plaza, before thinning into the field boundaries of the surrounding farmland.

Cur Ramallo
Tabula quae aliquid significat
Ramallo is the kind of place people carry with them after moving to a bigger city. A map on the wall keeps the river, the plaza and the familiar blocks in view, and it is quiet enough to sit in any room.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a family name or the year you left, and choose from five styles. The $9 digital download includes six sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files.
