The old town oval
The historic centre keeps its rounded outline, with a ring of roads following the former walls. That closed shape is the visual anchor of the whole poster.

Reutlingen Map Poster & Print
Reutlingen lies at the foot of the Swabian Jura in Baden-Württemberg, and its location on a map is easy to read. The medieval core forms a compact oval, still traced by the line of its old walls. Outside it, newer districts stretch along the valley of the Echaz, the small river that runs through the city.
East of the centre, the Achalm rises as a solitary cone-shaped hill, marked on the map by tight contour lines. Further south the land climbs toward the escarpment of the Jura. The streets are denser in the valley floor and loosen as they reach the wooded slopes.
A Reutlingen map poster centres on a city that was a free imperial city for centuries. Its Gothic Marienkirche still anchors the old town. Among its lanes is Spreuerhofstraße, often listed as one of the narrowest streets in the world. At map scale it almost disappears, which is part of its appeal.

The Achalm
A lone hill east of the city, rising above the rooftops. On the map it appears as an island of forest and contour lines next to dense streets.
Echaz valley
The small river runs through the city and gives it a direction. Neighbourhoods and roads follow it along the valley floor toward the Neckar.

Cur Reutlingen
Tabula quae aliquid significat
Reutlingen suits people who studied, worked or grew up at the edge of the Jura. The map shows how the old town, the valley and the hill sit together, something that is hard to see from street level.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can be changed to mark a move, a wedding or a university year. Choose Classic black and white for a crisp look, or Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to match a particular interior.
