Revda Map Poster & Print

Revda was founded in 1734 around an ironworks built by the Demidov family, one of the many Urals towns that grew from a dammed river and a factory. The dam created a large pond on the Revda River, and the oldest streets were laid out close to it. From above, that body of water is still the town's main landmark.

Later growth added Soviet-era apartment districts and a large metallurgical industry, including a copper smelting plant. The map shows these layers side by side: older, finer streets near the pond, bigger blocks further out, and wide industrial sites.

A Revda map poster sets all of this in the forested landscape west of Yekaterinburg, where the land begins to rise into the Middle Urals. The dark mass of woodland, the open water and the densely built town make a strong three-part composition in monochrome.

01

Factory pond

The reservoir created by the 18th-century dam spreads across the map as a broad shape of water, with the historic centre on its shore.

02

Ironworks origins

The oldest part of town grew up beside the dam and the works. Its compact streets still reflect the plant that gave Revda its start.

03

Urals forest

Wooded hills surround the town on all sides and give the poster a deep frame that sets off the streets and the water.

Cur Revda

Tabula quae aliquid significat

Revda is a town with a clear story, from Demidov ironworks to modern metallurgy, and its pond and streets hold the memories of several generations. The map works for anyone who grew up there or still has family nearby.

You can add a founding year, a family name or a personal date to the title and subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line. The five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, give the pond and the forest different weight.
