Torre del Greco Map Poster & Print
Torre del Greco stretches along the Bay of Naples, pressed between the sea and the southern slopes of Mount Vesuvius. On a map, the town looks like a band of streets. It is dense along the coast and around the harbour, then thins out as roads climb inland toward the volcano. A railway and the coastal road run parallel to the shore, tying it to Naples and the rest of the bay.
The town has lived beside Vesuvius for centuries, and eruptions have repeatedly reached it. Lava flows of the late eighteenth century destroyed much of the centre, which was then rebuilt in place. Torre del Greco is also famous for red coral and cameo carving, a craft tradition that has made its name known far beyond Campania.
A Torre del Greco map poster shows a town defined by two powerful edges, water on one side and a volcano on the other. The coastline gives a clean horizontal line. Streets rising uphill fan out toward the slope, leaving a sense of the mountain even in a street-only design. It is an unusual composition, with real tension between the sea and the mountain.

Streets toward Vesuvius
Roads climbing inland toward the volcano grow sparser with altitude, suggesting the slope without showing any terrain shading.
Coastal corridor
The railway and main road run parallel to the sea, stitching the town into the continuous urban band around the bay.
