Castle hill
The Castillo de la Atalaya crowns the hill above the old town. The streets around it curve along the slope, making the most detailed part of the poster.

Villena Map Poster & Print
Villena lies in the north of Alicante province, in a broad inland valley at the meeting point of several historic regions. The old town rises on a slope below the Castillo de la Atalaya, and its streets climb and curve around the hillside. Below, the newer town extends onto flat land in a more regular pattern, and main roads and a railway cross the valley.
The town is known for the Treasure of Villena, a Bronze Age gold hoard found nearby and one of the most important archaeological finds of its kind in Spain. The valley floor was once occupied by a lagoon that was later drained. On a map, the surrounding farmland shows long, straight field lines that reflect that reshaped landscape.
A Villena map poster moves from the tight, winding streets under the castle to the open valley around the town. The contrast between hillside and plain gives the composition depth, and the castle hill gives it a natural focal point. It is a clear, grounded portrait of an inland Spanish town.

Newer town
Below the old centre, newer streets spread across flat ground in a more regular layout. They balance the irregular hillside quarter.
Valley farmland
Straight field lines cross the valley floor, once the site of a lagoon. They give the edges of the map an open, ordered texture.

Cur Villena
Tabula quae aliquid significat
Villena has deep roots for the families who live there and for those who return for local festivals. A map of its streets under the castle is a personal piece of that connection, and it works well in a calm, Mediterranean-style home.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps in Spanish, and choose from five styles. Sand and Paper suit an inland Spanish town well. HD files are $9 and printed posters ship from partners in 30+ countries.
