Contour-led roads
Main roads curve and double back to follow the hills instead of cutting across them. They draw soft, looping lines that make the print feel organic rather than planned.

Weixinghu Map Poster & Print
Weixinghu sits in the western part of Chongqing municipality, in the rolling country away from the steep river gorges of the city's core. Its name means roughly Satellite Lake. On a map of this area, water and hills share the frame: roads rarely run straight for long, and the built-up areas settle into whatever level ground the landscape leaves.
Newer development shows up as broad avenues and large residential blocks, their edges bending to follow slopes. Older lanes are narrower and more irregular, winding between clusters of buildings and small fields. The contrast between the two is one of the more interesting parts of the map, a record of a district still filling in the spaces between hills.
A Weixinghu map poster works almost like a topographic sketch, even though it shows no contour lines. You can read the hills from the way the streets curve around them, and the open spaces mark water and farmland. For anyone who has lived or worked in this corner of Chongqing, it is an unusually faithful outline of the ground.

Water among hills
Irregular open shapes between the built-up areas mark water and low ground. They break up the street pattern and give the composition room to breathe.
Old and new grain
Wide modern blocks sit beside tighter, older lanes, so the map moves between two textures. The difference shows how the district has grown over time.

Tabula quae aliquid significat
People hang this map to remember a specific stretch of Chongqing that rarely appears on postcards. It might be the place of a first job, a family home or a university year, captured in its real, hill-shaped layout.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can all be changed, so you can add a name in Chinese characters or a meaningful date. Choose from five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, and download the files or order a printed poster.
