The Ringpark
A crescent of green space traces the line of the old city walls. On the poster it clearly outlines the historic centre as a compact, dense form inside a soft border.

Würzburg Map Poster & Print
Würzburg sits in a wide bend of the River Main, and the map makes its structure easy to read. The old town lies on the east bank. It is surrounded by the Ringpark, a green belt that follows the line of the former fortifications, while the Marienberg Fortress stands on the hill across the river.
The Old Main Bridge, lined with statues of saints, links the two sides and is one of the city's best known sights. East of the centre is the Würzburg Residence, a vast Baroque palace with formal gardens. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and forms a large, symmetrical block on a Würzburg map poster.
Vineyards cover the slopes above the river, a reminder that this is the heart of Franconian wine country. The city also has a place in the history of science: Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen discovered X-rays here in 1895.

Old Main Bridge
The stone bridge crosses the river between the old town and the fortress hill. It is a short, strong link that ties together the two halves of the city on the map.
Residence and gardens
The Baroque palace and its formal gardens form a large, symmetrical block at the eastern edge of the old town. Their geometry stands out clearly against the irregular medieval streets.

Cur Würzburg
Tabula quae aliquid significat
Würzburg is a natural choice for former students, people who grew up in Franconia, and anyone who has walked across the Old Bridge with a glass of local wine. The river bend, green ring and fortress hill make the composition calm and balanced.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a graduation year or a wedding date. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to match the room.
